"I have a box of old cameras, photo books & associated equipment in good condition which I'm willing to donate to your club." Action/Response:I am including the email address of a person who is also in the Antique Camera club.
We will get him as well as our librarian to look at the donation. Hoping for the best use of the gear.
"I have some old cameras that I'd like to give away to a collector. Let me know if they are of interest to any of your members. " Action/Response:I would suggest that our Antique Camera Club person be allowed to evaluate it
and that maybe you sell it at the next Photomarket - it may be valuable. A table at the market costs $20. Antique Camera person could suggest appropriate prices.
"We sadly had a member of our family pass away, he was a photographer and has left behind some photography equipment, most of which would be of a vintage era I'd say.
Action/Response:Donated camera is now fully charged but found
96 photos of young couple in tropical location plus some underwater photos. May be important memories from previous owner's family. Images went back to donator.
"My late Dad was a member of your camera club a number of years ago...
Action/Response:We successfully found a loving home for the camera - it was a treasured model from
when the person first started photography. He cleaned it up, charged batteries, etc AND found some photos on the cards! Images extracted from card and sent to donator. Very much appreciated. "My name is xxxx and I thought I would take a long shot in contacting your group.
My mother in-law passed away last year and we have been going through her belongings and we came across a camera lens. "I want to donate some gear including a darkroom enlarger."
